very fine tip, great for detail work. You have to squeeze the center section (it's plastic) to get the polish flowing. The gold is a little watery and brassy, but it dries fairly quickly and it's easy to add another color or more gold polish from a bottle when it runs out.. The gems aren't bad, but they fall off of your fingernails unless you use a pretty strong fixative.
